PETA Slams Donald Trump's Sons For Killing Rare Wildlife

Mon, March 12, 2012 10:10pm EDT by 90 Comments

The animal rights organization tells HollywoodLife.com that the Trumps’ behavior is ‘grisly.’

Donald Trump’s sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, went on a game safari in Zimbabwe last year that turned into quite the bloodbath. “My sons love hunting,” Donald tells TMZ. “They’re hunters and they’ve become good at it.” But HollywoodLife.com has exclusively learned that not everyone was thrilled with their hunt.

Photos of Eric and Donald Jr.’s kills, including an elephant, crocodile, kudu, civet cat and waterbuck, have generated outrage from fans and animal rights organizations alike. One of the gruesome photos shows Donald Jr. holding a dead elephant’s tail in one hand and a knife which appears to have cut off the tail in his other, reports TMZ. A wildlife enthusiast’s website even created a YouTube video of the slaughter expressing its fury.

“Like all animals, elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles deserve better than to be killed and hacked apart for two young millionaires’ grisly photo opportunity,” a spokesperson from PETA exclusively tells us exclusively. “If the young Trumps are looking for a thrill, perhaps they should consider skydiving, bungee jumping, or even following in their anti-hunting father’s footsteps and taking down competing businesses—not wild animals. If the Trumps want to help villagers, they have plenty of resources at their disposal.”

What do you think about the Trump boys’ extracurricular activities HollywoodLifers?

The trumps have done nothing wrong here. The animals harvested were taken legally. They are also being killed to help the species out. In the area they were hunted the elephants are extremely over populated. The local village people took everything possible from these animals for food so they could survive. The money the trumps spent to do this hunt helps the area and is a way for these people to bring in revenue. Africa hunting is a million dollar industry and without it many more of these people would be starving.

You are completely wrong. Elephants are becoming extinct because of human overpopulation and farming in this area. Please get your facts straight before you post such nonsense

All theyve done is put money in mugabe’s pocket by killing for fun. It is sick! Maybe the spoilt boys should actually do some hard yakka and pull their heads out of their pampered arses and do something constructive for the suffering indigenous people of Africa. Obscene these trophy hunters. Hopefully they will get their just deserves!

All I ask is that PETE start a petition for people to pledge to boycot all Donald Trumps busnisess including his TV show, The Apprentice.
I will be the first to add my name to such a pledge.
This is outrageous and it should not be swept under the rug or go away with no consequence to the Trump family. They will just continue committing such atrocities if there is no serious fall out after this one because as their famous Dad said it himself , his golden boys are avid outdoorsmen and love to hunt and they have not done anything wrong.
Shame on Mr Trump and his family.

Vist petersonshunting.com to see how many problems the Trumps have with the Zimbabwe Conservation Authority. It is also very interesting to check the elephants endangered status at earthsendangered.com

I think this all comes down to ethics. It is unethical to hunt endangered animals whether it is legal or not. Their excuses sound juvenile to me and I hope they find it in their hearts to man up and try and make things right. With that kind of money, I could do so much good in the world. It’s a shame that people like that are given such copious amounts of money and then hide behind it when people try to bring attention to something that is clearly disturbing.

To the trump sons: Please think about the things you put your money towards and support. You have a responsibility to yourself and other beings to be a good person. Do your best to prevent unethical behavior in the future and start listening to your conscience.

Hey Trump boys, if hunting human beings was legal…would you still do it? What if someone came into your house and starts to shoot at you? These animals are in their domaine. You went to their home and took their lives. You called it a hunting sport.? You are a disgrace to a human race. Shame on you!!!

I can tell from the nonsenseical rants from most of you that you know about hunters and why we hunt.
Please educate yourselves in the science of wildlife management and learn what a positive role regulated hunter plays in the health and vitality of wildlife.
Without regulated hunting wildlife would be in a major mess. Stories of disease, starvation and habitat destruction would be the main topics of discussion.
The worst threat to wildlife is HABITAT LOSS and DESTRUCTION. We, hunters work and pay to save tens of thousands of acres of habitat each year. We do our part also by hunting and killing of the enough of the managed species to stabilize the population at sustainable levels.
In this way we are saving wildlife from the cruelest of all deaths- a slow agonizing death due to starvation and or disease.

I see….

I’m feeling you are a sensitive type who thinks that killing endangered species in corrupt countries for alot of money has something to do with your hunting style?

Please, do explain further. Make us all understand what habitat destruction has to do with killing a selection of endangered species in a defined territory reserve? We are all waiting with baited breath for your reply.

It’s disgusting to see such senseless killing of beautiful animals. These boys need a REALITY check, and need to understand real life. Daddy has made things too easy for them all their lives. They think they have the right to do whatever they want. What goes around comes around.

I have never hunted and never will. However I respect the right of others to partake in this sport, and it is a sport despite what activist organizations such as PETA and the anilmalliberationfront would have us all believe. It has yet to be determined if a crime was committed in this case. If it turns out that a crime was committed then the appropriate authorities are the body that should see justice done. Most experienced hunters are very careful to ensure that they are abiding by all local laws, especially in the African continent. While most of you and I find this particular sport quite abhorrent, the Donald sons are free to make their own choices.

I think it just comes down to being ethical instead of legal. Zimbabwe is a prime example of how NOT to conserve endangered species and being legal by their standards doesn’t mean what you hope it would.

I have completely lost all respect for the Trump sons and the Trump family. How about spending your money on protecting the animals instead of slaughtering them for your trophy wall? The bible clearly states hunting is okay for the use of food and survival but god did not want the animals he put on this planet for game and display. But it appears the man who lives with fire has a better hold on the trumps then the man who lives in the heavens. I believe in karma they should worry about their judgement day.

Horrible, vulgar and ignorant killing spree of protected Majestic Animals from the Trump men who know better- this is another Vick story that should end with the Trumps in jail and after jail time community service to the country of Zimbabwe and HUGE fines in the millions – toward helping protect other Animals who deserve our respect. This is an international crime. Which they openly showed on their facebook pages!! How creepy can they get!
Shame on all the Trumps they all know better.
Jail, jail, jail. And Trumps need to feel a boycott too.
