Britney Spears X Factor

Contrary to reports Britney Spears turned down Fox’s offer to be on ‘The X Factor,’ we have an excellent source who tells us she’s actually very close to becoming a judge and the money is somewhere between $12-15 million! Do YOU want to see her on the singing show?

We said goodbye to Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, but now it’s sounding more and more like we’ll be seeing the incomparable Britney Spears on FOX’s hit singing competition show, The X Factor! spoke with a source internally on the show, who told us producers are getting close to signing a deal with the 30-year-old pop icon.

“Money is not an issue for the show,” our source said. “As of now, they are looking to pay her $12-15 million for the first season, with a drastic price hike for a second year based on ratings performance.”

Added, the insider, ” [Executive producer] Simon Cowell wants at least a two-year commitment and Britney wants an out clause if she doesn’t want to continue after one year of service.”

We think Britney would make a fantastic addition to the judging panel. She has become a pop legend and has a ton of experience as a singer and a dancer.Additionally, The X Factor would be a jump start for Britney’s career too. She’d be exposed to a new generation who doesn’t remember her controversial and erotic videos she made as a teen.

Essentially, Britney being on the show would be a double win — and we’re sure ratings would go through the roof. What do you think? Are you dying to see Brit on the small screen?

I love Britney and she if anyone knows what it takes to make it in the high pressure music business. Go Britney and I would love to see this talented woman on X-factor.

This doesn’t make any sense. There’s nothing to jump start, in terms of her career. She’s doing the best she can already, but the best she can do is average at best. The Britney Spears from her earlier VMA performances is long gone. Considering the implications of the Conservatorship, her participation in this show is entirely nonsensical. What you see with Britney is what you get, and it’s nothing more than a shell of what it once was. Besides, Britney receives pennies on the dollar for what she earns. 12 million for Britney’s estate doesn’t mean 12 million for Britney. It just means more money for her handlers; for all those people who have their hands all over estate. Britney, meanwhile, makes the same amount of money no matter how much she works. $1200. $1500. Something like that.
