Rihanna’s pops might not win any Dad of the Year awards with the fact he told his daughter she was looking fat — and that’s on top of approving of Chris Brown.
Oh no, he didn’t. Oh yes, he did: Ronald Fenty told daughter Rihanna, 24, that she was a chubba wubba, and since then, the pop star has been on a strict diet, reports the Daily Mail.
“I actually thought she was a little fat last time I saw her,” Ronald told Heat magazine, adding that “she’s dieting, she’s working out.”
But come the 54th Grammys, of which he attended with his daughter, it seemed he was pleased with her new svelte figure.
“When I saw her this time, I thought she was back to her normal size,” Ronald said. “I used to joke with her, ‘Robyn, you’re getting too fat!’ But I think she’s fine; I think she looked excellent, as everyone saw, at the Grammys.”
And since he’s seemingly a straight shooter, how does dad feel about Chris Brown, who brutally assaulted RiRi in 2009?
“Chris is a nice guy and everyone is entitled to make a mistake in their life — God knows how many I’ve made. She’s her own woman now,” he asserted.
Ronald has only recently started mending his relationship with his daughter, who refused to talk to him for two years and has reportedly had a contentious relationship with him.
“Maybe we’re not as close as we were when she was growing up here…But we are blood, we do not stay angry,” he said.
It seems that RiRi hasn’t grow up with too many healthy male figures in her life. Do you think that’s why she keeps gravitating towards Chris Brown?
