Will Robert Pattinson be playing Wirral the Squirrel — seriously — in a film written by Paul McCartney? Is this why he and Sir Paul McCartney and Kristen Stewart had an intimate lunch in Paris on March 5?
Don’t worry Twi-hards — just because Robert Pattinson‘s Twilight days are coming to an end, doesn’t exactly mean he’s going to stop climbing trees any time soon.
Robert Pattinson, 25, had an intimate lunch with rock royal and former Beatles star, Sir Paul McCartney, 69, on March 5 with girlfriend Kristen Stewart, 21, at La Cuisine restaurant inside Le Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris, France. And as much as musical Rob is no doubt a HUGE Paul McCartney fan, HollywoodLife.com has learned through further investigation that the pair may likely have met to discuss Paul’s children’s novel, High in the Woods, that is set to become a major animated film — but is in desperate need of a lead squirrel!
High in the Clouds is about a young motherless squirrel, Wirral, who embarks on an adventure through the secret island of Animalia. Wirral only has his mother’s final words — and fellow animal friends — to guide him on his journey.
Could it be that Paul is looking to cast R-Patz as Wirral?? We think so!
The movie has yet to cast any characters, but already has some major names in Hollywood attached to the project. Rob Minkoff –who is famous for the Lion King and Stuart Little — is directing the film, and Caroline Thompson — famous for Edward Scissorhands — is writing the screenplay.
In any case, it looks like R-Patz needs to start growing out his beard (or should we say tail?) again if wants to win the role.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Would you like to see R-Patz play Wirral the Squirrel? Vote and weigh in below!
