Nick promises to be a supportive husband when Vanessa gives birth to their first child, but the daddy-to-be admits he doesn’t plan on helping out ‘down below’ at any time during the delivery!
After excitedly announcing that he and wife Vanessa Minnillo are expecting their first baby on Live With Kelly, Nick Lachey continued to talk about the big news on his second day of co-hosting the morning talk show on March 6 — and he revealed TMI about his plans in the delivery room!
When it comes supporting Vanessa while she’s giving birth, Nick says he plans to steer clear of one area in particular.
“I’m gonna be there, I’m gonna be supportively there, holding hands, and coaching, breathing, all that good stuff,” he told Kelly Ripa. “But apparently I won’t be down below, seeing what’s happening. I’ll be up above, helping.”
According to Nick, he spent enough time ‘down there’ as it is.
“My work there is done!” the 38-year-old said, laughing. “I was successful there. So we’ll keep it waist-up.”
