Katy drops her California girl look for the Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2012 show during Paris Fashion week and steps out with a sultry smokey eye.

Katy Perry wore her blue hair pulled back in a sleek bun with smoldering blue eyeshadow and peach lip gloss. Gone were her goofy bangs, curly hair and pink, glittery makeup. Paris fashion week is such a chic time of the year and Katy definitely rose to the challenge of dressing appropriately for the shows. There is absolutely a time and place for her fun, wacky style to shine through, but she allowed the YSL clothing to take center stage without her own look detracting from the show. Garbage – you date yourself. Perv.

So I am supposed to only like brand NEW bands only? Why?

I like new AND old bands from a lot of music genres. Why would anyone care about “dating themselves” anyway? That’s just stupid. I’ve been listening to tons of music since I was about 8 year old.

“Garbage” is a good band from the mid 1990s until the last few years. I hear they are working on a brand NEW album right now. They might be on tour this year.

I remember Shirley Manson from the pop/rock group “Garbage” wearing dark eye makeup, colorful lipstick and she had her colored hair pulled back a lot. Type in keyword “Garbage – Special” to see that video to see what I mean. I like that band “Garbage” and a bunch of other 1980s pop/rock type bands like the B52s, Berlin, Scandal, The Go Gos, Madonna, Duran Duran, etc.

I like that futuristic, glammed up techno euro pop type look. It looks cool and makes them look even hotter. Katy had this kind of look before in one version of her song “Hot N Cold”. Copy/paste this exact keyword into YouTube to see it … Hot N’ Cold (Version 2) [dvdrip]
