Demi opens up about her recovery process, and why she’s decided to tell her story in a new documentary.
Demi Lovato looked gorgeous during her March 6 appearance on the Today show, as she performed “Give Your Heart A Break” and previewed Stay Strong, her new documentary premiering tonight on MTV. ”I’ve decided to tell my story because there are a lot of young teens, girls and boys, that are dealing with the same issues that I’ve been through,” Demi, 19, told Ann Curry. ”If I’m able to use my voice to do good in the world, then I definitely want to do that.”
Of course, Demi was asked about how her fans’ support has helped her in the recovery process — and Demi was very quick to give her Lovatics the credit they deserve.
“It means everything to me having that support… it’s… I don’t even have a word for it. It’s amazing. The fans that I have are incredible.”
And as she prepares to kick off a new tour, Demi says she’s “both excited and fearful. Fearful as in nervous.”
