Kim Kardashian Doubles Wedding Gifts Value & Donates To Charity

Kim Kardashian, 31, really, really likes her extravagant wedding gifts and has decided to keep them while still trying to maintain her nice girl image: She’s donating a big fat check to the Dream Foundation, TMZ has learned.

“I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift,” Kim’s official letter reads. “It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation …”

It’s being reported that her wedding gifts have totaled to $100K and she’s giving $200K to the non-profit…we wonder if soon-to-be ex Kris Humphries is giving Kim the slow clap.

Donate the gifts to a charity who can then AUCTION them off and get far more than face value for them! Oh, but then Kim wouldn’t get the write-off as large…

I don’t know the full story but can stand cris he is not nice at all to kim.how could. U stay with some that hate your.sister.

Last I checked the gifts belong to both Kim and Kris. So, not only does she get a tax write off plus she gets to keep the gifts.

Come on Hollywood Life do the math and tell the true story. Don’t just report the Kardashian PR version. I wonder who paid for these cards that were sent out? I bet the Dream Foundation did and they probably addressed them and mailed them. It really bothers me that the value of the gifts were so much higher and all the media outlets are reporting the value at $100,000 and that she is donating double the value. The $200,000 is not even close to doubling the value. This is how the Kardashians got to where they are by telling their lies and the media outlets accepting what they say and reporting it as fact. Hollywood like do your reseach. This one is a no brainer this is so misrepresented.

As someone who works for a nonprofit, the donation she made could only be receipted for her. The check came from her. The people that gave her gifts couldn’t use that on their taxes in any way. They gave a gift to her, she chose to make a donation with her money. No way for their “gift giver” to get a right off on their taxes. Only person benefitting is KIM K.

Ha, this took longer to do than her marriage.

Keeping 100% of all of the $100K worth of gifts plus getting a $200K Tax write-off.
I’ll give her credit for this smart move, because no doubt her fans will think this is charitable of her. In actuality, this is just another greedy skank who keeps the gifts that were meant for her AND KRIS plus gets a tax write off.

Addition to my other comment. It wasn’t a case of the wedding gifts were used and could not be returned. It was reported the one highend store she had registed at was holding the gifts waiting for Kim to give them an address to send them to. She traded them for store credit and bought Rolex watches. She could have easily told the store she wanted to return the gifts and credit the amounts back to the senders account.

Great idea! That would actually make sense. Sadly, she wouldn’t get any kind of recognition for doing a “good thing” like this bogus charitable donation instead of doing the “right” thing

So, she gets a $200K tax write off and keeps $100K in gifts. There is NOTHING sincere or charitable about her action!

More lies. She got a Ferrari as a wedding gift which is worth at least $250,000 (maybe more) and she was registered at one highend store for around $180,000 in items. What other highend items and cash did she recieve? Shouldn’t the services and goods donated be considered gifts. DJ Pauly D played at an event for her for free and said it was his wedding gift. His fee is $40,000. $200,000 doesn’t cover it. I think Kim needs a math lesson. Does she really think we are fools and think the value of her wedding gifts was only $100,000. Not to mention the $200,00 she donated is tax deductable and the wedding gifts are tax free to her. She made quite a profit off of the wedding gifts. This amount should be added to the other 18 million she made off of the wedding. The gifts should have been returned to the sender and she should return cash to the sender for services and goods that can’t be returned. I know the charity needs the money so she could have donated the money out of her profits from the wedding but don’t try to claim it represents the value of the gifts. It’s reported Kris didn’t even know what the gifts were. She kept this information from him. It would be interesting to see an actual list of all the gifts she received and kept.

And wasn’t Kris in this marriage too? Weren’t they his gifts as well. He should sue her as$ for theft!

I was thinking exactly the same thing. She should donate on behalf of her ex too! I hope Kris’ lawyers are talking notes.

AND she’s donating to the charity she most supports!! What a fake broad! Not to mention it’s been months since she filed for divorce not to mention the wedding. She’s grabbinng at straws to save her reputation. Fake family needs to GO AWAY

She should have had the common decency to send the gifts back to the people who gave them to her. She had no right to give them to charity, that should have been the right of the people who brought them.

So, in other words, she’s keeping the gifts AND getting a huge tax write off based on the donation? Sounds like a win-win to me.

Exactly what I was thinking and if the truth be known I would bet the actual gift total was more like $200 anyway – she is grasping at straws now. Notice how she is getting more publicity recently…it was nice for a few weeks she kinda stayed out of the limelight but it was while she was trying to get Reggie back (he hates the publicity supposedly)Now that Reggie dosen’t want her she is, unfortunately, back in the news more!
