Arcade Fire’s new song from the ‘Hunger Games’ soundtrack was made just for J-Law’s character Katniss! It sounds amazing!

Rock band Arcade Fire had the honor of making a song centered around Hunger Games‘s lead character, Katniss — you have to listen to it!

The song title “Abraham’s Daughter” is inspired by the biblical story of Abraham, who had to sacrifice his son Isaac because of God’s command.

“Our whole approach was to get into the world and try to create something that serves the story and the film,” a member of the band, Win Butler, tells New York Magazine. ”There’s something in the story of Abraham and Isaac that I think resonates with the themes in the film, like sacrificing children. So we made a weird, alternate-universe version of that, where it’s as if Abraham had a daughter — kind of a metaphor for Katniss.”

The song sounds VERY Hunger Games-y — like something you’d hear right as the tributes prepare to enter the arena…

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you happy with the new Hunger Games song?
