The star looked chic in spring pastels, but unfortunately due to her sheer skirt, she fell victim to a major wardrobe malfunction!

Katy Perry is known for her crazy get-ups, but at first glance the star looked very cool and composed in a seafoam green frock in Paris on Mar. 1, pairing it with a coral bag and her rather new blue ‘do. While her look was definitely toned down for Katy, the star actually managed to cause quite a stir with her very revealing sheer skirt, which led to quite the wardrobe malfunction — her underwear was totally visible! Sheer may be a popular trend, but if you want to work the look you have to be careful!

While Katy isn’t the first star to fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction, (especially one involving a sheer get-up), we’re glad she opted for appropriate undergarments! The star was so smart to cover up in this seriously sheer look. With that being said, if you want to work the sheer trend I think it’s best to try the look on top, either with sheer sleeves or a sheer panel on the back of a shirt or on the sides, so that you’re appropriately covered.

We doubt Katy wanted to show off as much as she did, but a valuable lesson can be taken away from Katy’s mistake — make sure you wear the appropriate undergarments underneath your clothes, so in the event that you fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction you’re totally covered!
