Jennifer Lawrence: People Are 'Kissing My Ass' Because I'm Famous

Thu, March 1, 2012 1:43pm EST by 5 Comments

Bow down to this warrior princess! Well, not really. Despite her impending super stardom, J-Law finds it curious that people are suddenly trying to be nice to her just because she’s become a Hollywood moneymaker.

Jennifer Lawrence, 21, dished to Glamour about her rising celebrity status and all those who are taking notice in the run up to the premiere of The Hunger Games, which releases on March 23. “The people who used to ignore me at parties, now they’re nice to me and kissing my ass,” Jennifer said.

But all this fame and fortune won’t be going to Jen’s head. “I can’t stand it when actors complain,” she said.

To stay grounded, Jennifer takes time off hanging with her friends, but they should be careful — she’s carrying arrows! “The other day my friends were in my car, and they’re like, ‘What are these? Spears?'”

Sounds like Jennifer’s having fun and enjoying life even as the spotlights shine brighter on her.

Hollywood Lifers, are you excited for the premiere of The Hunger Games? Will Jennifer rock her role as Katniss?

I never understood the attraction for so called celebrities. To me they are simply doing a job in the entertainment business and are certainly being well compensated financially so why the added glitter. You never hear anything about those who actually have done great things that made our lives better through medical breakthroughs or inventions. Are these not the people who should appreciated the most ?
