Monkee’s singer Davy Jones died of a heart attack, according to autopsy reports.

Thursday morning, the Martin County Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on the late Monkees’ singer Davy Jones. TMZ reported the doctors determined that Jone’s died of a severe heart attack.

The doctors have not yet received the results of the toxicology report, but say the obvious cause of death was an “abnormal heart beat caused by coronary artery atherosclerosis.”

The 66-year-old Monkees’ singer died on Wednesday, Feb. 29, he was taken to a hospital in Florida after complaining about shortness of breath.
