At the 2nd World Conference of Women’s Shelters in Washington, D.C., Reese Witherspoon spoke out about Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna and how she tells her kids about the situation
At the 2nd World Conference of Women’s Shelters in Washington, D.C. Feb. 28, Reese — the Global Ambassador for the Avon Foundation — explained how important it has been to educate her two children — Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8 — about the pop stars to whom they love to listen, reports People.
“My daughter knows what happened. My son knows as well,” Reese, 35, said about the Chris and Rihanna situation. “We talk about what is abuse. I think it’s important to talk to our daughters – and our sons – in order to educate them at an early age about what’s appropriate and what is absolutely not acceptable.”
She added, “Although the concept is somewhat foreign to them, they’re starting to understand that this happens to families in our country and all throughout the world.”
What do you think about Rihanna and Chris getting back together, despite everything that has happened? Do YOU think it’s a good idea, or are you appalled by it like Reese?
