Chris Brown Dissed By Seth Rogen: He 'Beat The S–t Out Of' Rihanna

Chris Brown Seth Rogen

Seth took a huge shot at Chris while hosting the Independent Spirit Awards — see what he said and tell us if YOU think he went too far!

Seth Rogen hosted the 27th annual Independent Spirit Awards on Feb. 25 in Santa Monica, and he used his opening monologue as an opportunity to attack violent singer Chris Brown!

Seth, 29, first went after disgraced former Oscar producer Brett Ratner, whose homophobic remarks lost him the job for the 2012 ceremony. Then the harsh comments about Chris, 22, began.

“I honestly bet, though, that Brett Ratner really wishes he was organizing the Grammys, because they seem much more forgiving than the Oscars altogether,” he said. “Seriously, if you say a few hateful things, they don’t let you within 100 feet of the Oscars. You could literally beat the s–t out of a nominee and they ask you to perform twice at the Grammys.”

Do YOU think Seth was out of line, HollywoodLifers?

This spirit of unforgiveness is because you’ve been brainwashed by media. It was a horrible crime, but since when do we continue to bash someone once they have met the requirements of their punishment?
He was 19 but faced up better than the Charlie Sheens & Sean Penns whose careers were totally untouched by their crimes. His Grammy win had to do with a brilliant album, not crime & punishment. But Roman Polanski can be nominated for an Oscar, though he was convicted of the rape & sodomy of a child. It reeks of hypocracy.

Congrats to to Seth for making him self relevant in today’s society for bringing up a situation that he has no business talking about on stage. Really? Can you be creative Seth? Your a host and you can’t even entertain the people without bringing another man down. Not a good look bro at all. I’m not a fan of Chris Brown I just don’t like a man bringing another man down just to boost his own confidence. Come on Seth you can do better.

If you dont forgive Chris Brown, then DONT. You are not meant to forgive him, NOR does he even owe you an apology. His fans forgive him, and most importantly RIHANNA does. Seth who? Haters who?

Good for you Seth!! The more people who call out this pathetic piece of sh*t, the better. It’s not just his beating the hell out of Rihanna – it’s every other vile and unapologetic things he does on a regular basis. Grammys made a HUGE mistake giving this creep an award – balls deserved to be kicked.

No respect at ALL for Rihanna. The jokes that the media make at the expense of Chris Brown, affects her as well. That’s what the media fails to remember. And if they want Domestic Violence to be viewed as serious as it is, people in the media should begin by ending the stupid remarks on it. Grow up! It wasnt funny; DV jokes shouldnt EVER be funny, even to stick it to Chris Brown. While they were worrying about Chris, he was minding his business putting on a show for the NBA All Star halftime performance! Now THAT was great!

You people are ridiculous… this whole “let’s forgive Chris Brown for beating a woman” crap is completely insane! I truly hope these commenters are just simply a bunch of a-hole men, because if they are women saying that they should be ashamed of themselves. Just because you think Brown is “hot” and makes good music (that’s a joke in itself), doesn’t mean you should throw away all of your morals. Because what he did is UNFORGIVABLE!!!!

Seth Rogen was absolutely justified to say what he did. What is wrong with you people? Do you have ANY functioning brain cells????

Unfortunately, I think these girls are serious when they stand up for Chris Brown. Such a sad pathetic bunch.

Bet he beats the crap out of his wife! Just because he said that about beating a nominee does not mean it is Chris Brow n. It is people
Like Wow it was three years ago not had a violent attack since.
Wow Robert Downey Jr beat his ex wife when he was high on drugs
And same with Sean Penn so shut up those people are not targets
Pigeonholed for a mistake they made ! And already paid the or price for
It!
