A history with Brad Pitt clearly isn’t the only thing these two stars share — they both love to work a leggy look on the red carpet!
While I love to imagine Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston having a sleepover where they apply face masks and raid each other’s closets, that clearly isn’t the case. In reality, the only common thread between the two a-listers is Brad Pitt — but they have an affinity for dressing alike on the red carpet and constantly copy each other’s style!
From the sexy slit to the neckline, when I saw the Angelina Jolie Oscar dress 2012 last night, all I could think of was Jen’s very leggy look at the Golden Globes just a couple of years ago. While Angelina totally stole the show last night, popping her hip in her Versace gown, she must have known it was so similar to Jen’s iconic Versace. America’s Sweetheart owned that look — and there’s no way Angie didn’t realize her gown was so similar. While Jennifer Aniston wasn’t at the Oscars last night, we were instantly reminded of her when Angie walked out on the red carpet.
For two women who really try to steer clear of each other, they love dressing so similar — I really don’t get it! Personally, Jen’s sun-kissed, toned legs and the effortlessly chic she carries herself wins in my book. Angie tried way too hard last night to show off her leg — I just wasn’t feeling it. The poll here is obviously skewed (bad journalism? favoritism? sadistic fans staying up all night to vote over and over and over???). Jolie’s legs were the stuff of nightmares in that dress. The “leg meme” was EVERYWHERE for several weeks, as literally everyone had a laugh about it and had fun photoshopping it onto Meryl Streep’s chicken in Julia & Julia. Hardly a good fashion moment. Girl was bombed or baked when she presented, too. No matter your feelings about either of them, you’d have to be crazy or an unhinged brangeloonie (are those two mutually exclusive?) to see anything fantastic about Jolie’s look that night. Yes, she’s caucasian. No, she doesn’t have to tan to look good. But she needs to eat and quit her bad habits, and maybe get more fresh air. She looks a good 5-10 years older than her 40 years. Whatever she’s doing, it was shocking to see her that night, and it’s even more shocking that her stylist and/or her team of wardrobe people would let her leave showing so much skin. She has been carefully padded and wrapped for most of her events before and after (google her name alongside butt pads, etc.).
