'Breaking Dawn' Nominated For Eight Razzies, Including 'Worst Picture'

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were also all nominated for Worst Screen Couple — say it ain’t so!

Breaking Dawn may have been our favorite movie of 2011, but it now has the dubious distinction of being nominated for 8 Razzies!

The parody ceremony, which celebrates the worst in film, announced on Feb. 25 that Breaking Dawn is competing for eight ‘awards,’ including Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel, Worst Director and Worst Screen Ensemble. Furthermore, Taylor Lautner was nominated for Worst Actor, Kristen Stewart for Worst Actress, and a Worst Screen Couple nod was given to Krtisten with either Taylor or Robert Pattinson.

Do YOU think this is a funny joke or are people just jealous of Breaking Dawn‘s success, HollywoodLifers?

OMG. The twilight movies are great. I thought breaking dawn was awesome and cant wait for the 2nd movie. I do have to admit that i think Taylor Lautner is not a good actor…sorry team jacob, but robert and kristen are good. who cares about the razzies. the movies made a ton of money so apparently a lot of people liked them.

all nominations are fine with the exceptions of “worst couple” for Rob and Kristen and “worst actress” for Kristen. I think she did quite well in this one compared to all the previous twilight movies. And Kristen and Rob worst couple?? seriously?? hello, their onscreen chemistry is the only reason why even a cheap story like twilight comes across as romantic (sometimes). I hate twilight so much. But I think BD was much much better than eclipse. Did eclipse win any razzies? Well, it should certainly have

Kristen and Robert are both great actors. And Breaking Dawn was a Beautiful Love Story made better by their acting.For my part Breaking Dawn should have been nominated, best love story I have seen in a long time.
And the direction was right on. Way to go Kristen, Rob and Bill Condon. Can’t wait for Part 2

Kristen is a horrible actress, a cardboard box is better at acting that her.

Futhermore I dont think this is a joke…I think the amount of nominations are pretty spot on!

I’m sure the votes came from some snobby folks in the industry that are just jealous of the fame and money these actors have made. I couldn’t see anyone else acting in these roles even a fraction as well. It’s ridiculous.

The Razzies are a joke and everyone knows it. That’s why they aren’t taken seriously. This year they are even releasing the winners on April Fool’s Day, which should tell us a lot. They probably don’t even tell themselves it’s serious. Sandra Bullock won a Razzie and an Oscar in the same year recently. It’s just a bunch of bs

the losers ,who pay $ 35 to vote for the Razzies are really watching the wrong Movies because with all the crap they throw at us over the Year , the Voters come up with the most profitable Movie BD of 2012 , as their worst ,it’s always so predictable

Hollywood and the powers that be, should be cautious for always consistantly bashing high grossing money makers like BD, for these movies are the sole reasons that production companies can make oscar movies that hardly no one even cares to go see.

Are you kidding me. That is the best move to hit stands in5 years adleast.
If its so bad than why was it sold out every show for a week with women and men watching in every state than it comes on dvd and if you didn’t preoder you have to wait for your copy cause it was sold out as well. The 1 st weekend it was on dvd it sold a millions copies and still selling. So where do they get the info from. I can’t wait for part2 to come out. It will be sad to see it ending

It’s okay. Fans love it and I guess that’s all that matter. It’s funny because critics actually praised Kristen’s acting, though they didn’t like the movie, just as they did with New Moon.

We twihards could care less about what someone else thinks of this movie or the whole entire saga. We will be back out in full force this year to support the last picture because we love it. I doubt anyone in the cast and crew really cares about a peice of plastic that represents whatever. When they go cash their checks they still have a smile on their faces.

WOW!!! I bet the people who nominated them didn’t read the books!!! What does this prove???? Even if 5 million people say these movies are crab there is 15 million more that disagree!!! Book quality has nothing to do with film quality. The people who trashed the film are critics, and they are trained to find what’s good and bad in movies. I would trust them to give an honest opinion, without the bias of a book fandom. A film might be entertaining, but that does not mean that it’s good. However, calling a film good or bad depends entirely on the viewer, making it an opinion rather than fact. Critics have to watch movies, that’s what they are paid to do. And how can someone know whether they like something unless they try it first? No one is trying to change anyone’s mind. They’re only stating their opinions, to which they have the right as citizens of the United States of America. So don’t go railing on people who might be as proud of their views as you are of yours.
