Billy Crystal doesn’t have to worry about booking his next big film any time soon. He’s found his own Academy winning role as best host of the Oscars ever!
Haters need to turn it down a notch! I’ve been reading a lot chatter on Twitter tonight from people who are “bored” with Billy hosting the Oscars. And you know what Twitterverse? I completely disagree!
Billy, 63, stole the show from the very moment he chatted with Justin Bieber in the opening montage and he’s kept me laughing ever since. There is a reason this is his NINTH time hosting the show, after all!
To me, Billy Crystal just oozes the Oscars. It’s in his blood. He’s classic, hysterical, witty and positively represents Hollywood. There really isn’t anyone else who could host the Oscars in such a charismatic and lovable way like Billy does. Don’t you just want to squeeze him up there at the podium? I mean he’s LIGHT YEARS better than James Franco and Anne Hathaway were last year. Seriously, what was that debacle?
Moving on, I just really can’t imagine anyone else who would do as great of a job as Billy is doing.
Maybe you’re thinking that Chris Rock would rock the Oscars as host? And I’d tell you N-O! I was cringing during those two minutes he was presenting tonight. How could I survive an entire show? Or what about Emma Stone? Nope! Sacha Baron Cohen? Okay, that would be hilarious, but the Academy has already made up their minds on that one.
Truth be told, I’d be happy if Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars for the rest of his life! Go, Billy, go!
