I totally agree with you Kew1224. This isn’t the first time the academy got it wrong! Look at last year when avatar should of won best picture and it lost. The film looks stupid and in the age of HD TV’s, and surround sound all films made in the 21st century should have sound!!

I agree, Michael and Kew1224 you are correct. Movie itself I’d not that good, I mean it’s not bad, but for sue not Oscar quality, even in 1930′s Oscar competition. It copies everything from that time. I think Academy Awarded this movie out of respect for old Hollywood.

I can’t belleive a black and white picture with no sound won for best picture of the year. I would not spend a penny to see a picture that had no sound. It looked stupid to me. They let this peice of junk beat out all the really good movies. To me they Made a bad mistake. Just my opinion.
