Mona herself, Janel Parrish, gives HollywoodLife.com the scoop on how the girls will need her help — again.
The Pretty Little Liars have spent much of the past two seasons giving Mona (Janel Parrish) the stink eye, but they finally accepted her into their vicious little circle at the end of the Feb. 20 episode — and Janel tells HollywoodLife.com that Mona’s involvement with the girls will only get more intense in the final three episodes of the season. “They’re definitely going to need Mona’s help,” she reveals. “They’ll need her manipulative skills.”
But can Mona really be trusted? She may have come through for Hanna (Ashley Benson) last week, but [spoiler alert] Mona is revealed to be “A” in Sara Shepard‘s original Pretty Little Liars book series. And while Janel can’t say whether or not Mona turns out to be Rosewood’s textual terrorist, she does promise more flashbacks.
“You’ll definitely get more insight into Mona’s past,” she says of the final three episodes. “She’s been accepted, but not 100 percent. There was a set direction in one of the scripts that said Mona feels like she’s always auditioning for the girls. Even when she’s with them, she’s still trying so hard to be accepted.”
As for what we can expect from the epic season finale, it sounds like we should all have a change of pants handy on March 19.
“It’s going to be the most intense episode we’ve ever had,” Janel says. “It’s going to be extremely scary and dark. There will be cliffhangers, as usual, to keep everyone guessing into season three. Questions will be answers, but new questions will also be raised.”
Tell me what you think about Mona’s new leaf: Is she really as good as she seems, or is she a stab-in-the-back waiting to happen? And could she secretly be a member of Team ‘A’? Hit up the comments section with your thoughts on all things Mona!
