Literary wizard J.K. Rowling is hard at work on her first post-‘Harry Potter’ book — and this time, it’s for adults!

Five years after Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort, the author behind the biggest literary phenomenon of our times has announced she’s writing again! J.K. Rowling, who’s cashed in on the Potter franchise to the tune of $1 billion, is currently working on a follow-up. The twist? The as-yet-untitled novel will be geared towards adults.

Beyond stating that her new book will be nothing like Harry Potter, Rowling hasn’t shared any details about the plot.

In a statement, she explained, “Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series. The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me.”

But fear not, Potterheads! Rowling hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of writing another Harry Potter book. “Never say never,” she added. “It is my baby, and if I want to bring it out to play again, I will.”

Rowling’s new book will released by Little, Brown & Co. Books — the publishers of the Twilight saga.
