Demi candidly discusses her personal struggles, from her eating disorder to her cutting.
Demi Lovato enlisted MTV’s help to document her public recovery after she departed the Illinois treatment center she checked herself into in Nov. 2010. “I wanted to share my story but I knew it had to be honest, it had to be real,” Demi tells MTV News.
The MTV special Demi Lovato: Stay Strong will show us how Demi confronted her demons while still pursuing her dreams. Fans will see Demi on the road touring and returning home to Dallas, as well as her visit to the treatment center that helped her return to a healthy lifestyle.
Demi opens up about her decision to enter rehab and how she hopes her story will help someone else struggling with similar issues.
“If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I’ve succeeded,” she says.
