Rachel Crow: Why She Chose Nickelodeon Over Disney

Rachel Crow

An insider tells HollywoodLife.com the 14-year-old ‘The X Factor’ starlet wanted to sign with Nickelodeon from the start and she only was in talks with Disney to solidify the deal faster

Rachel Crow impressed the whole country with her amazing vocals and outgoing personality on The X Factor and now she’s getting prepped to become a shining star on Nickelodeon. However, she has the Disney Channel in part to thank for getting her sweet deal so quickly.

“The Disney meeting with Rachel was almost seen as leverage for the Nickelodeon deal to do through,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Nickelodeon always wanted Rachel from the beginning, so when they heard she was talking to Disney, they sped up the process and offered her the best deal she’d seen up to that point.”

Adds the insider, “Disney was weighing its options and was in no rush to give Rachel a deal. Nickelodeon had more immediate plans than Disney, and Rachel wanted to strike while the iron was still hot.”

Rachel is set to appear in five episode’s of Nickelodeon’s new series Fred: The Show and is expected to work on her first CD later this year.

We’re so glad Rachel’s getting everything she deserves and can’t wait to see her on the small screen soon. Do YOU think she’s the perfect fit for Nickelodeon?

i agree, even thought i love nickelodeon and disney, nick would just make her kiss and be the lead role in a tv series, where everything is about the main characters, disney would make her value more friendship and accept her talent. she would be amazing for kids shows, but maybe she should try and look for other options like dakota fanning and abigail breslin did.

Un Gran Talento, Etta James, debe se sentirse orgullosa que una niña de 14 años cante tan bien su canción, NICK HISO UNA GRAN ELECCIÓN, QUIERO VER YA A RACHEL.

Rachel Crow who I have dubbed ” Lil Etta ” because of her simalaritues to the great Etta Janes would be the perfect casting choice to play the young Etta James in her biopic ” ! Rachel has everything going for her and I know she will be a great star ! So Hollywood take notice and cast Rachel Criw as the young Etta James based on her biography ” Rage to Survive ” !

Actually she is an actress as well. Many singers are also actors but she has acting credits and has trained as an actress before she appeared on the X-Factor. Take a look at her IMDb resume. Many entertainers have been able to sing and act. Rachel is a darling and will be fantastic as an actress as well. There is no reason for hateful comments – be kind.

Will Smith was “not an actor as well” when he started out, but look at him now. Rachel has a record deal as well as an acting deal, and I think she will do great. Much love to you Rachel. You are an amazing young lady.

How do you know this? I think that she will make a great actress. A lot of us will watch the show she’s on because we will want to see her and that will be good for ratings. I just hope that I find out ahead of time. She certainly seems to have the talent so why shouldn’t she get a chance?
