NeYo: Justin Bieber ‘Is About To Make A Very Difficult Transition’

The singer reveals how he can help Justin with his career!

As Justin Bieber, 17, gets older, he’ll need to figure out how to avoid the same “has-been” fate as NKOTB and the Backstreet Boys. In a Hollywoodlife.com exclusive, Ne-Yo offers his advice on how The Biebs can have a long shelf life.

“Justin Bieber is about to make a very difficult transition; he started out as a very, very little kid and he is moving into young adulthood, which will then move into adulthood,” the R&B star told us at Hollywood hotspot Supper Club for the Ne-Yo and Compound Entertainment annual Midnight Brunch, launching the new Malibu Red on Feb. 11.

So how does the young buck keep his heartthrob status with his Beliebers?

“It’s not an easy transition to make, your fans have to grow with you, so you have to write songs that they can relate to,” NeYo says. “So I would simply sit down with [Justin] and have a conversation and have him talk to me about life, have him talk to me about girls that he likes. Talk to me about what is going on in his head right now and then write songs according to that.”

i think Justin should make a Christian album….and i know he will do just fine i’ve been a fan of him for as long as i can remember and there’s no way that him growing up will stop me from being a fan. He’ll do just fine.

i think justins transition is going to be a little difficult because he is 17 and people still think of him as that 15 yr old kid singing on youtube but not to hard bet he is going to have it easier than miley, i know the article is about justin, but boys in the business have it easy than girls, there is a double standard and woman like bonnie are apart of it, they bash miley when she shows leg, but its the same thing if justin takes off his shirt in front on little girls

I honestly think JB was born at the perfect time for this sort of transition. Back in the 80′s or 90′s, artists didn’t have twitter or facebook to keep everyone updated on their lives. You had to use the songs with a new image and pray for the best. Now, even his youngest fans can support him by understanding the process.

He simply has to be honest and I think they will grow up with him or live vicariously through his adult transition as preparation for them. JB’s sound was always mainstream R&B POP…not a boy bandish unique sound at all. He’ll be fine. He never stuck to a certain sound like britney or backstreet for multiple singles and albums making it very hard to change. Keep the lyrics family friendly and the tracks club ready and he’ll be fine through 20 years old.

He didnt do it! He is not even as famous as Justin,, but i know hes just giving his advice, so i better shut up now.. lol
