Tyler spoke at Whitney’s funeral on Feb. 18 and reminisced about a conversation they had many years ago — he even started to cry.
Whitney Houston‘s beloved celebrity friends are remembering Whitney at her funeral at the New Hope Baptist Church and there’s not a dry eye in the church and Tyler Perry kicked off the ceremony with a touching speech.
Tyler says that when he and Whitney were eating lunch in Atlanta about four years ago, he was surprised at how open she was with the things she had gone through in her life. But he said that before he could say anything, she always said the Lord was by her side.
Tyler says that Whitney was touched by the grace of God and that he is so happy that he knew her. The singer was friends with many celebrities who were all there at the funeral.
Tyler reportedly loaned his private jet to the family to trasport her body from LA to Newark, NJ., to be buried in her hometown.

I find what he and all of them said to be true. If you have seen all of here interviews like I have she always mentioned her faith and god an I mean every single interview. If you watched her live performances or saw her in concert every song she sang she always said lord in it when breaking the song down. I have no doubt that it was all god..that women had a light in her eyes that I’ve never seen in any singer when she sang. She made you feel like she was talking about YOU when she sung live. Imnso happy she is at peace but I wish she would have gotten peace here on earth because she would still be with us. People act like they know her because she was on drugs in the past. Drugs was one thing in her life..she didnfar more positive than negative and I have no doubt that she will be remembered for that good. It’s time to finally let her rest and let her family grieve without the nonsense lies and rumors
