Talk about a major snub! Read on for HollywoodLife.com’s 5 reasons why Rob & Kristen NEED to be at the Oscars.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may be one of the biggest couples in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed an invitation to Hollywood’s biggest event! E! Online asked its Oscars source if they thought R-Patz and K-Stew would attend, to which they answered, ”I don’t think it’s going to happen.” Can you believe it?

We can’t! And that’s why HollywoodLife.com has put together the five reasons the academy NEEDS to send them invitations ASAP!

1. They both have movies coming out: Fans are already aware of Bel Ami and Snow White and the Huntsman, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the world is clued in!

2. The Twilight cast has presented before: Remember when Kristen and Taylor Lautner appeared at the 2010 Academy Awards? We will never forget.

3. It’s their last chance before Twilight ends: By the time the Academy Awards air next year, the Twilight saga will be over. Finished. Dunzo. Don’t Edward and Bella deserve one last chance to shine, er… sparkle?

4. It would be great for ratings: Let’s not pretend that tons of Rob and Kristen’s wouldn’t tune in just to see their favorite couple on stage.

5. They’re freakin’ Robsten: I mean, do we even need to elaborate? “Robsten” is epic, gorgeous, etc. An awards show without the two of them is simply crazy talk.

IT CANNOT BE A TWILIGHT MOVIE WITHOUT ROB & K-STEW THEY JUST GOT MARRIED, SO IT WOULD HAVE TO INCLUDE BOTH ACTORS TO BE A GOOD MOVIE =-)

They’re not going because they don’t WANT to go.

Do you really think Oscar’s organizers would refuse this couple if they said they were coming. Really, I have to ask how OLD are people who blog here if this simple truth is beyond them.

And shame on you HL for provoking an unnecessary debate just to grab traffic.

Personally, I am glad they are not attending and will not be presenting. That means I don’t have to waste my time watching 3 hours of an awards show, just to have 2 minutes of them at the end of the show, like other award shows do.

Hannah….you just bashed Twilight. You don’t like it okay but to call it a low quality movie. When the saga is finished, it will have earned over 2 billion dollars. Did low quality people got to see it, if so, that is a hell of a lot of low quality people. I didn’t like Harry Potter but that is as far as I will go. Gah..some people….

uh i think they saying here is… the quality not the quantity. just because it made tons of money does not mean it was the best movie out there. and just because she called it a low quality movie, doesnt mean she called the people who watched it “low quality”. im guessing she watched it as well since she doesnt like it.

well for starters, the list hollywood life stated is not a valid reason. What i think the oscars are getting at is that even though twilight was a huge success, it does not match with the standards of these other movies. so unless they were presenting, they have no reason to go. i personally dont like twilight, and think its a low quality movie, but i dont think oscars were bashing twilight just saying there is no reason for them to be there. we also have to remember that twilight is not the only movie out there. there are tons of other movies that deserves their lime light as well.

Inviting or not inviting them to the Oscars should not be purely due to Twilight. They both have made some really good movies other than Twilight. Kristen and Rob are both really good actors and if they don’t get invited, there is something sad to be said about the Oscars and the people in charge. Frankly I don’t think the Oscars are that great anyway. It’s almost like who you know and not what you can do.
