‘Teen Mom’s’ cutest couple got the best Valentine’s Day present ever — They got to visit their daughter Carly!

Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell, 19, and fiancée Tyler Baltierra, 19, went to see their little girl Carly, who they gave up for adoption after getting pregnant at 16, on Feb. 15.  Catelynn tweeted that they got to spend the day with the almost 3-year-old, and Carly can talk now! Aww!

“She’s so big u have complete conversations with her. It was truly amazing,” Catelynn proudly wrote. It must make Ty and Cate so happy to see Carly growing up so well because their decision to give her up was incredibly difficult.

Sadly, they couldn’t post any new pictures due to the adoptive parents wishes. But seeing Carly themselves was enough. “Soooooo excited to see Carly tomorrow!!” Catelynn exclaimed on V-Day. And we’re soooooo happy for you guys!

MTV is really taking editing too far. These episodes of teen mom are so out of sync. In the new episodes Amber is in rehab, which we know happened around the holidays of this year.

ANd Tyler and Catelynn are going to see Carlie after her SECOND birthday- which was in May of 2011. carlie just turned 3. Why are the airing this so so late?

i just watched the season premiere of the final season of teen mom. mtv had audio but only still photos of carly’s profile. they didnt show teresa/brandon [adoptive parents] face either.
I guess now that the adoption is final teresa/brandon have the power. I say this because on 16&P & on Teen Mom seasons they did show carly/ teresa/ brandon ‘s faces.

Are you serious? Carly was ADOPTED, they will NEVER get her back, they signed the paperwork… which is there to cover the adoptive parents in case the biological parents change their mind, Catelynn and Tyler WON’T get Carly back…

Why do people think Brandon and Teresa were just a temporary solution?

ok, I correct myself, the ONLY way they will get Carly back is when Carly is legally old enough to decide to…which is 18, I could be mistaken as I am not American.

Brandon is Carlys Daddy and Teresa is Carlys Mommy… Catelynn and Tyler did the most selfless thing for that little girl… but they won’t parent her.

Giving Carly up for adoption was an unselfish act and was for the good of the baby. I have an adopted child (grown now) and I thank the birth mom in a prayer everyday. However, Caitlyn and Tyler expect applause for it. They were two young people who had unprotected sex and got pregnant. Wisely Tyler forced the issue of adoption. Carly is so much better off.
But now, they are acting worse than selfish. They are using that child for fame. They should back away and be friends that visit once or twice a year. They do not need to be in Carly’s life as much and are very lucky Carly’s parents allow it. I would not especially for a TV show to make money for them.
It took a long tiome for them to even finish high school, especially Caitlyn. I do not think they would even still be together except Tyler feels he owes Caitlyn for forcing her to give up Carly. I wish he could see he did it for Carly as well as for himself. I think Caitlyn is selfish enough that she would have kept Carly. Thank goodness Tyler knew it would never work and wuold be so unfair for a baby. Now Carly is in a loving home and will go to college and have what she needs.
If they marry, I do not see it lasting. Caitlyn is way too clingy and does not trust Tyler at all. She is jealous if he even speaks to another girl. Nobody wants to be married to somebody like that. Marriage would become a chore instead of fun. I hope they wait on the marriage

The visitation and amount that they are in Carly’s life was part of the adoption agreement. There is no “allowing”, it was, “you can adopt our baby but this is how much we will get to see her” Both parties agreed so don’t act like the adoptive parents are doing them a favor. They knew what they were getting into before they agreed.

i dont think adopiion is selfish the fact that they keep bringing it up and by saying for ex,they were at a club,,”we couldent be doing this if carly was here”and when she graduated high school”i couldent have done this if carly was here”.umm if she dident graduate it would be carlys fault???thats the way she makes it seem…and no it would be your fault.the finally of season two of teen mom did make me cry when they vist her though.!but idont like them

How in the world is adoption selfish? They gave their daughter a better life then they could provide. They still get her birthday & Christmas gifts & chose an open adoption. Obviously they do care or they wouldn’t make the trek to go see Carly. I think Catelynn & Tyler are parents because they may not be raising their daughter but they made a very selfless choice to better her life & are still involved so she knows she is very loved by many.

UR ALL PATHETIC …….there not even parent’s they put her up for adoption there immature and lazy I have seen couples in the worse situations and still keep there child bc they were dumb enough to not use protection so it’s there responsibility they have to deal with not choose the easy way out…..and there still together bc they don’t have Carly …….there stupid they shouldn’t even be on teen mom there not even parents!!!!!!

Clare, it’s pretty obvious that you’re a pretty young, immature, selfish individual with little education and experience. It is obvious they made the best and hardest decision in the best interest of Carly. I couldn’t begin to imagine the pain these two have gone through during this process but it was definitely a selfless decision in their part, they put Carly’s needs and the importance of her getting a life that they did get.

As to your comment about how there are others out there who have children but choose to keep them. Well dear this is also why child abuse and neglect is running rampid in the world because the parents choose their own greedy, selfish needs before their child…. This has nothing to do with begin lazy…..

I mean both their parents have problems in and out of jail its not really a good enviroment for a child….they could of easily chose never to seen her again but they obvisley think about her all the time…..I don’t think you can really make an opinon unless you have Been in that situation and in their shoes!!!!

I’m sure your example couples have a “great” life and their children will definitely not be messed up adults because their unprepared parents didn’t want to be immature and choose adoption.

The correct way to say it is “made an adoption plan for their daughter” not that they “gave her up.” A child is not an object that you can just give away.

Please edit this article. It is very important ALL people make an effort to change our language when it comes to adoption. Adoption is so very positive, especially in cases like Carly’s. I would love to see an edit made here.

Catelynn & Tyler are such an awesome couple. I truly admire how they chose what was best for their daughter.When the time is right for them, I think they will be brillant parents should they decide to have more children. Out of all the children from the Teen mom show, I think Carly is the only one who has a stable future. I pity the rest as they are in unstable,emotionally damaging homes. Its a huge shame that more teens dont chose adoption.

I love that they get to see her every year. She is going to grow up KNOWING who she is and why her birth parents choose adoption. so many adopted children don’t know who they are and why they where “given away”. Carly is a lucky girl to have such awesome adoptive and birth parents.

step siblings… STEP… not HALF…. which means no blood relation, so no it’s not inbred as you stated… and because they were together before their parents I don’t even think I can put that in the too close to home category either… just 2 kids having a baby… like everyone else on 16 & Pregnant.
