Screen legend Kevin Costner, who played Whitney’s lover/bodyguard, in her massive hit film has just made public he will speak at her funeral on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Actor Kevin Costner, 56, will speak at Whitney Houston‘s service, a close source told People. Kevin has yet to release a statement about his Bodyguard co-star’s recent death.
Kevin and Whitney co-starred in the 1992 smash-hit The Bodyguard, which featured Whitney’s powerhouse performance of “I Will Always Love You.” The movie grossed more than $400 million at the box-office.
In addition to Kevin’s eulogy, there will also be performances by Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.
Clive Davis, who also will speak at the funeral, has provided much needed comfort to Whitney’s family during this difficult time.
“Clive has been a complete rock for her family this entire time. He’s been with her since the beginning, and he’s been everything to them,” the source added.
