Elaborate clothes, shocking revelations and cold-blooded murder — just another party at the Graysons!

The Feb. 15 episode of Revenge promised “Chaos,” and oh boy, did it deliver. We finally arrived at Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel’s (Josh Bowman) long-awaited engagement party — you know, the one from the pilot — but it turns out the events didn’t quite play out like we were led to believe they did.

For starters, Daniel wasn’t the corpse Jack (Nick Wechsler) dragged across the beach. It was actually everyone’s favorite eyebrow-less weasel Tyler (Ashton Holmes), who returned just as trigger-happy as ever. The intense hour began with Tyler kidnapping “Amanda” (Margarita Levieva) and bringing her up to snuff on all things Emily, which immediately caused her to turn on her former cell mate. So much for the not-so-subtle lesbian undertones of that relationship.

Tyler also gave an earful — and an incriminating photo of Emily’s victims — to Daniel, though I’m not totally sure he understood what his ol’ college buddy was trying to tell him. Things that involve business and murder and thinking usually go way over Daniel’s beautiful head. But that’s why we love him.

When the show returns in two weeks — I know, I know, waiting sucks — Daniel will get arrested for Tyler’s murder, and all the Grayson/Thorne drama will end up right back where it started: In court!

In other, less life-for-death news: Sammy the Wonder Dog is now in Emily’s care, Nolan’s (Gabriel Mann) hair is looking more Bieberiffic than ever, and I’m pretty sure Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) is developing a crippling pill problem.

So what did you think of tonight’s big twist? Were you one of the (many) fans who predicted that Daniel wasn’t the one who died after all, or were you surprised? And are you a little bummed that Tyler is dead? See you in the comments section!

I believe Daniel was shot due to the blood flowing out of his right ear. He probably did fall to the ground but on the other side of the chaos.. Notice how he walked over a “hill” to the crime scene? I also believe Amanda shot Tyler since he shot her.. remember the blood on Jack’s hand? Not sure I understand where Satoshi is taking Amanda and how Emily will explain her fingerprints on the murder weapon.

I’m so confused! At the beginning of episode 15, they clearly show Daniel’s face while he’s getting shot and then he falls down and it says 12 hours earlier, and then the episode starts, so how is it possible for it to be tyler who died?

The show didn’t cop out this is how it was supposed to ge this is how it was written. With a show like this every detail matters and the purpose is to keep you guessing, who the hell shot Tyler? That’s the point because known of us know it could have been any key we have come across. But this show is all about revenge and it all has a point

So someone gets shot & a bunch of people stand around & do nothing but yell out Daniel! No one turns him over to see if he’s breathing. If they did turn him over, they’d have known it was Daniel & then none of the original pilot would have made sense. This will be the shark jump episode now. Emily has her own money & doesn’t care about the Grayson money, but they had to throw that into the plot since Daniel didn’t die. Daniel’s character is a moron. He didn’t much care about the girl that he hurt & that was why Emily didn’t care about him originally. He was just a rich, spoiled kid. Now all the viewers (women) think he’s so cute, so the writers changed course. I’m assuming they must be all Clinton & Obama voters.

Definitely a little upset that the show copped out a bit and went with Tyler over Daniel. While it was a more obvious choice to kill off the guest star over a break-out lead actor, Tyler brought a special brand of crazy to the proceedings.

Onwards and upwards: to the police investigation and the crime!

Seriously, though, biggest question of the night (that we address a few times in our recap http://wp.me/p1VQBq-sJ): what role does Takeda play in all this and what will he do with Fauxmanda?

Woowwww! Chaos did not disappoint! This episode alone represents what I love about TV so much. I mean what a perfectly executed hour of television. The whole time I was thinking it would be lame if it were Tyler, but honestly I’m glad Daniel didn’t die. His character provides more trials (no pun intended) and tribulations for the future.
