Matt Bomer Is Gay: 'White Collar' Actor Comes Out At Awards Ceremony

Matt Bomer wants the world to know he’s gay. The ‘White Collar’ actor made the announcement at a humanitarian awards event in California over the weekend.

Matt Bomer, 34, is a rainbow man and proud of it. The private actor proudly came out after receiving an award for his activism against HIV/AIDS at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards on Feb. 11, reports the Daily Mail.

In his acceptance speech, he thanked his partner, Hollywood publicist Simon Halls, and their three children.

“I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry,” he said. “Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”

Matt’s announcement came as a surprise since he’s been rather evasive about his personal life. When asked about his sexuality in a 2010 Details interview, he said: “I don’t care about [rumours] at all. I’m completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life.”

We guess he might as well come out publicly, especially now that he’s co-starring with Channing Tatum in the upcoming Steven Soderbergh male-stripper movie, Magic Mike.

For gay men everywhere, his six-pack would be pretty magical eye candy. Yummay!

Matt is great eye candy for all of us, gay, straight, male or female. I am looking forward to this season of White Collar. I wish him and his family well and good for him in coming out. If that helps even one person to come out and be comfortable with themself, then he did good.

20 states allow first cousins to marry (corrupting the gene pool and breeding idiot children) and only a quarter of that allow gay couples to marry. I guess your parents lived in one of the former states.

The bible was written by middle eastern men over 2000 years ago. The bible was written by men (not God) to give us their interpretation of Jesus’ teachings. These are the same men who do not believe women are their equals. These are the same men who asked everyone who walked with Jesus, to write down the teachings they learned, like Mary Magdalene. Her scriptures were never added because her scriptures revealed things that she & Jesus discussed. Her scriptures were not added because they (men 2000 years ago) believed that Jesus would not reveal to a woman what he didn’t reveal to them. I don’t know what you meant by that question, but, I am proud to be BLACK. Although, being black, has it’s setbacks, and I won’t go into detail, but I know you know some of them. But for you to say that just lets me know that you are just as ignorant as that sentence you typed. However many struggles one faces in their own race, should not hinder the fact that they should be proud of who they are and where they came from. Are you not proud of your race? Whatever it may be?
