Beyonce Knowles has plenty of jewelry, but her latest piece might have some extra emotional value! It’s blue just like her daughter’s name (and hubby Jay-Z‘s favorite color!). HollywoodLife.com asked a diamond expert to give us the scoop on Beyonce’s bling. “The ring looks like a rare cushion cut Tanzanite, approximately 8-10 carat,” Aslam Bakshi, the owner of Diamond Images USA, tells us exclusively. “With a beautiful rich color, the stone originates from Tanzania, South Africa.”
And what’s the approximate value for such a gorgeous, extremely rare ring? About $35,000!
Beyonce, 30, debuted a spectacular new ring at her hubby Jay-Z’s party after his Feb. 6 Carnegie Hall concert in New York City. She showed pics of the look, which matches her pretty blue nail polish, on her official website, and it is stunning.
Her blue bling totally seems to be inspired by the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, and we’re sure that Jay, 42, has showed his lady with gifts.

Originates from Tanzania, South Africa??? So Tanzania is a town/city in SA now??? The lack of world knowledge outside the US never seize to amaze me
