Could you suggest a way to put a twist on the classic black/gray smokey eye for a romantic Valentine’s Day date?
“I love a smoky purple eye for a pretty and unexpected twist on the classic look. Purple is a softer color choice, but it’s still dark enough to make your eyes pop and appear bigger and brighter. My Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Perfect Eye Kit in Deep Purple is perfect to achieve this look because the palette actually separates the colors into sections that mimic the shape of the eye, so you know exactly where to apply the color.
- Apply shade 1 or the basecoat across the entire lower lid from lash line to crease.
- Rim upper and lower lash line with shade 4.
- Add shade 3 to accent the inner-corner of the eyes.
- Use shade 2 to highlight under the brow bones.
- Load 2 coats of mascara on top lashes and one coat on the bottom. Avon’s SuperExtend Extreme Mascara creates adramatic false lash effect.”
Which celebrities do you think would look best wearing this look?
“This subtle and sophisticated take on the smoky eye would look amazing on anyone. The plum shade is universally flattering, and makes brown, green and even blue eyes pop. It’s a perfect way for any celebrity to show off a unique spin on the traditional black or gray smoky eye, but still look classically glamorous.”
If a Valentine’s Day date lasts from daytime straight into nighttime, what is an eyeshadow look that can transition easily with minimal bathroom primping?
“Whether it’s day or night, you want to make the eyes pop. To glam up a daytime look so you’re ready for the night, apply a shimmery shade over your traditional daytime eyeshadow. Add a touch of highlighter in a sideways v-shape ”
