Jenni Pulos of 'Flipping Out' Tells You How She Looks Calm & Cool Under Pressure

If you’ve ever seen Bravo’s ‘Flipping Out’ you know that as the executive assistant to interior designer Jeff Lewis, Jenni has a stressful job, but you’d never know it by looking at her!

Appropriately, Jenni Pulos has teamed up with the Secret Outlast Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant Collection. She needs it with that job! Find out how Jenni saves time on the go, what beauty products she can’t live without and her celeb beauty inspirations.

Do you have any tricks for looking calm and composed even when you are completely frazzled at the office?

“Yes, I have some tricks. I think fashion is very important — sometimes when you don’t feel good on the inside, but feel good on the outside, then it works its way on the inside. Looking good at the office and put together doesn’t have to be expensive — partnering a more expensive piece with something reasonable (pop of color with scarf or fun bangles) will make you feel good when things are unraveling around you.”

What are three makeup products that you couldn’t do without?

1. Tinted moisturizer – two steps in one.
2. Mascara – great, quick and freshens up the eye.
3. Eye pads with collagen – they are a wonderful pick me up when you’re feeling tired.

Do you have any time saving tips for busy women on the go that have minimal time to get ready in the morning?

“A tip that I rely on is to set my outfit the night before so I can get up in the morning and go. To feel good, you want to be put together. Take the extra 5 min before bed, so you are ready in the AM. Minimal makeup like a little blush, lipstick and mascara. Maybe a little eye shadow but don’t overdo it. A fresh face is always beautiful.

Making sure you smell fresh is also important, which is why I use and have partnered with Secret Outlast deodorant. Even when I’m busy, I never want to be self conscious.

Having a list set for yourself of things to do — something Jeff has taught me — which will help you not be scattered.

For me, I think it’s important to always put your keys and phone in one place — try to get that habit. That’s one I have to work on. Have a space to put important things because every moment counts, so you won’t need to be frantic.”

Which celebrities do you gather beauty inspiration from?

Helen Mirren is gorgeous and getting more beautiful by the moment. Meryl Streep, too. They own where they are in life and I love that. You also have to love people that get crazy with fashion and take risks, like Lady Gaga. She’s unique, and she owns it. Own your uniqueness. Don’t be ashamed to express yourself through fashion or art… women should have a voice, so use that voice.”
