Chris Brown — what are you thinking? Why would you post a snarky tweet almost three years to the day after you beat up your then girlfriend Rihanna? It makes you look terrible!
Chris Brown — have you not learned any lessons in the last three years. You were arrested. You pled guilty to one count of felony assault and you were sentenced to a year of domestic violence classes and 1,400 hours of community service. All of which you have completed. Plus, you publicly apologized many times for your actions and have vowed to be a better person.
So why would you choose the evening of Feb. 7 to tweet this: “Middle finger in full effect today!!! LOL”
How I read this is that you’re giving the middle finger to the authorities who arrested and convicted you, which would be completely and utterly inappropriate. After all, what you did to Rihanna was abusive and it was just plain wrong — no excuses.
Now, if that’s not who you’re giving the middle to and instead you’re giving your finger to all the people who said, you’d never make a comeback from that terrible moment, then I can understand your defiance.
I can understand that you’re angry at people who wrote you off and said that you couldn’t reform yourself and couldn’t be a professional successful again.
You HAVE proved them wrong. You’ve worked very hard . Your Twitter motto is “everyday is a new beginning” and your 2011 F.A.M.E. album was a new beginning for you– proving to be a great success.
You’ve even mended fences with Rihanna, who had a court ordered restraining order modified so that the two of you can be physically close again if you want.
Symbolically — you also have a big moment this Sunday, Feb. 12th — you’ll be performing at the Grammys for the first time in three years since you battered Rihanna.. on the eve of the Grammys in 2009.
So why would you want to mess up all the positive perceptions that you’ve worked so hard to recreate.
Tweeting that you’re giving the middle finger to anyone today was a bad idea and the only one it hurts, is you!

OMG! Shutttt up for Christ sake! We’re in 2012 this happened 2009 … What all of you get the oppurtunity to forget your’ll past and he doesn’t? He’s a normal human being just like us and deserves a chance start fresh. I mean as wrong as I may sound he’s not the first guy to beat a girl and he won’t be the last! There’s nothing right in domestic abuse.. I’m not promoting it in anyway but shut up already!!!
