There have been rumors that Disney Channel might make another movie based on its hit series — and HollywoodLife.com can confirm the next film is SO close to being made!
If Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie left you wanting more, we’ve got some news that will make you very happy. HollywoodLife.com spoke with Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Selena Gomez‘s mom on the hit show, at the NYC premiere of Thin Ice hosted by The Cinema Society & Grey Goose on Feb. 6. Maria told us that although the incredibly successful show came to an end after just four seasons this past January, there could be more coming your way!
“I would love for there to be another film, and I know there’s a script that is ready to go,” Maria told us exclusively. “But I think it depends on the availability and desire of some of the other cast members. I, by the way, have the availability and the desire! If I don’t [have the time]… I’ll make it happen.”
This is amazing news, we would love to see Selena, Maria, Jake T. Austin and David Henrie join forces again. We just hope Selena isn’t too busy touring with her band to break away and do some filming!

My thoughts on wizards of waverly place is that it should come back becuase it means a hole lots to me I have watch every single show and if it was up to me I whould want it to never go away….

I would be so overjoyed if there was another movie. Since I am so into selena it would be amazing to do a sequel. I hope the directors are reading this and maybe thinking about making anOther movie or…show! Wouldn’t it be awesome If they had a show where it’s what happens after the competition. I would also be so overjoyed if there was another movie b/c I would really love to see what happens after Alex becomes a full wizard, Justin becoming headmaster at Wiz-Tech. I also would love to see both couples getting engaged, getting married and having kids, same thing goes for Harper & Zeke, and also I would like to see if Max is still with Talia and if Max tells her that he’s a wizard. It’s always been my dream for this happened since it didn’t happened in the finale, I would to see all of this happen in a sequel movie.
