After 28 years, Van Halen returns with a legendary tour and their newest album fronted by David Lee Roth with ‘A Different Kind Of Truth’. The album released Feb. 7th can only be explained as fantastic! With the boys back and better than ever how can you not be excited!

During a Feb. 1st secret show at Henson Studios in Hollywood something happened that I never thought would happen again in my life. David Lee Roth fronting a concert with the rest of the legendary members of Van Halen. The show completely blew my mind as Eddie, Alex and bassist Wolfgang Van Halen sounded spectacular performing with Roth on older classics like “Jump” and newer gems like “Tattoo”. If what was seen in their hour plus surprise set was a view of things to come then their upcoming tour might go down as the greatest tour of all time!

Van Halen has easily provided rock hits that have transcended the test of time and it looks like there is no end in sight. As easily as people enjoy such classics as “Panama” and “Hot For Teacher” among their plethora of other hits their new album reinvents rock & roll and gives it a shot of adrenaline that is well needed in the genre. Songs like “The Trouble With Never”, “She’s The Woman” and “China Town” are master works from a band that has been gone for way too long but thankfully are back and making it worth it a million times over!

So HollywoodLifers, Van Halen has redefined how you listen to music, how you appreciate live music and it looks like history has repeated itself! Don’t be left out and join the ride!

I agree with you James and Jennifer…It’s about time someone came along and rocked out again instead of this whiny singing stuff with double drop d guitars…What happened when guitar player wailed…I heard on a documentary about Metal on VH1 that Yngwie started the shredding…WRONG!!!EDDIE DID WITH A STABLE FULL BAND!!! I heard some tell me that Yngwie used to play Eruption and imitate yawning during the solo…Wow,who was he trying to show up?lmao!!! Eddie wins…I’ve been listening to Hard Rock/Metal since I was young and heard many fast and talented guitarist in bands, but when my friend played me the 1st VH lp in ’79, that made me say “I wanna play like him,Page,Hendrix and Frehley as well as Nugent..They were my favs as a kid. But Eddie topped them all…That IS the year I started playing Electric Guitar, courtesy of my best friend Chan The Man whom I’ve know since I was 9 for giving me one at the age of 12…Thanks Bro!!!

I had the misfortune of seeing the first show of their reunion a couple of years ago – a sedate pedestrian Vegas-review styled oldies show that bored me to no end. As was the tour, this new album wreaks of a desperate cash grab – full of leftover and half baked material rejected from their past. VH clearly have no clue what their position or purpose is. I suppose the desperate are easily fooled into believing that this mess has valid sincerity. I would hope people would be wise to such an obvious hustle.
