This story keeps getting worse. An autopsy reveals the husband of missing Susan Powell chopped his two young sons up in a grisly murder before setting the house on fire.
On Feb. 5, Josh Powell, the lead suspect in the 2009 disappearance of his wife Susan, killed himself and his two young boys — Braden, 5, and Charles, 7 — in a horrific fire. Now autopsy results reveal that Josh cruelly chopped his sons with a hatchet before the explosion, according to The Daily Mail!
Although smoke inhalation was listed as the primary cause of death, ‘chop marks’ were found on the brothers’ bodies. Investigators also found a hatchet in the ruins of the house.
Little Charles was struck on his neck, and Braden had injuries on both his skull and neck.
As details emerge, it becomes obvious that Josh was planning the murder-suicide for some time. He sent several emails to friends and family before the fire and revealed that he couldn’t live without his sons. He also gave instructions on where to find his money and how to shut off utilities.
He also donated the boys’ toys and books to local charities.
“They do show that he was intending on doing this before it occurred,” says Sgt. Ed Troyer. “We believe he planned this event out and had taken certain steps. This is definitely a deliberate, planned out event.”
The boys were living with their grandparents Chuck and Cindy Cox, who revealed that they boys didn’t want to go on the court-appointed visit to their father’s house. The boys opened up and said “mommy was in the trunk” the night she disappeared, and they suspected their crazed father was to blame for her vanishing.
“I think this was a last-ditch effort on his part to hurt everyone around him and escape all of the problems,” says Kirk Graves, Josh’s brother-in-law.

This is crazy. No parent should kill their child on any circumstances! Although now we know that the two little boys are safe in their mother’s arms in heaven while their father is burning in hell and dealing with his eternal punishment! God Bless those little boys who are now beautiful little angels with their mommy.
