Sunday night’s Super Bowl ads went off with a bang…and even gave some air time to dead people. Just ask Ricky Gervais.
Social media, celebrity, and cable collide in this hilar-balls Time Warner Super Bowl ad with funny man Ricky Gervais.
A fan gets his revenge when the 50-year-old Brit mockingly rejects his Facebook friend request on his smartphone while sitting outside a restaurant. Dodging a flying grenade that lands in his bread basket and explodes, Ricky zooms down the street amid zombies chasing after him!
Cue commercial voiceover: “We make Facebook friendlier than ever and take Call Of Duty to new heights. We let ESPN go anywhere, make showtimes show up in place you’ve never imagined, and make Netflix more powerful. Whatever your passionate about, we invent better ways to share it, get lost in it and love it even more.”
Back to Ricky: “Okay, I accept your friend request! I was kidding, I was kidding!” he screams at his phone.
Showtime’s Mary-Louise Parker also pops in for a cameo as a marijuana florist with zombies staring back at her through the windows.
Talk about getting high amid creepy chaos!
