Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher‘s separation shocked their fans, but perhaps most outrageous is the reason why the split became a reality: Ashton thought that much-older Demi’s immaturity was causing too many problems!
Ashton, 33, was sick of 49-year-old Demi’s constant need to party, insiders close to the couple tell HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Demi and Ashton grew apart over his cheating, as well as her desire to hang out with her daughter Rumer Willis and her friends all the time,” our source said. “Demi always wanted to hang out with Ashton in social environments, which certainly plays into her need to be around younger people and remain young herself. They stopped being romantic and having alone time and became more acquaintances. Ashton didn’t like this and wanted more of a wife rather than a buddy.”

If these two really loved each other age wouldn’t factor in so much. I’ve read of lots of articles on May/December romances (female older) who quietly go about their business, get married, divorce or stay together for years. I think both Demi and Ashton are two self-centered ambitious and immature people who are crashing. Demi’s childhood was abusive to the extreme and her appearance won’t cushion her now. Demi should – start respecting herself – start serious therapy and let the jerk GO! Not that she didn’t leave herself open to it but I suspect Ashton married her to bolster his career. Oh well, if Demi had self esteem and better sense I can’t believe she’d marry him.
