Former contestant Michelle explains what it’s like to be termed ‘the villain’ on ‘The Bachelor’ — and shares advice on how Courtney can deal with her haters.
Courtney Robertson seems to be playing around with Bachelor Ben Flajnik‘s heart in an attempt to win the competition. While Ben doesn’t seem to realize what Courtney is doing, the rest of the women competing for his heart have decided that Courtney is their enemy. Former Bachelor contestant Michelle Money, who was once criticized by her fellow competitors on Brad Womack‘s season, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that she understands what Courtney is going through – and shares her advice on what Courtney needs to do to get through the drama.
“I can totally relate to how Courtney must be feeling right now, which is why you will never hear me say anything negative about her as a person,” Michelle says. “None of us really know her. Can you imagine if the only side people saw of you was the one side of you that is the most cold? We all have that side to us. We all have an ego. We all have things in life we wish were different about ourselves. We all wish we could have handled certain situations in life differently. No one is perfect.”
Michelle walked in Courtney’s shoes during Brad’s season. “Never did I think I would get pegged as the ‘villian,’ but I went into it knowing that not everyone was going to like me,” shares Michelle. “I was fully aware of how brutal people are. I surrounded myself with positive people in my life and I just hope that is what Courtney is doing as well.”
While Michelle feels for Courtney, she also thinks that Courtney needs to change. “I do believe that there is definitely an ego that Courtney has that needs to be tamed,” she says. “From what I’ve seen on the edited version, it does not seem like Courtney has incredibly sincere feelings for Ben thus far. She probably went into it thinking, ‘If there is a connection with Ben, then awesome. If not, I will get some exposure out of it.’”
But until we get to know Courtney better as the season goes on, Michelle offers Courtney some advice. “She is a beautiful girl with a strong personality, it is easy to peg her as a brat,” she says. “Remember that there will be haters no matter what. Remember who you are and stay true to that. Kill them with kindness.”

She is right, imagine if people saw YOUR bad side, which we all have! To all of the mean people posting nasty remarks, LOOK AT YOURSELF. It does not matter you do not know these people but you are so consumed at judging on approximately ten tv shows what someone is really like! I think there are some MEAN women on these posts, make Courtney sound like an angel.
