'Gossip Girl' Preview: Is Serena Still In Love With Dan?

Poor S! I think it’ll take more than just becoming a writer to win back Lonely Boy’s heart.

It looks as if Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) are on completely separate pages when it comes to their new found relationship — one fact and one fiction! And sadly for Serena, her relationship with Dan is definitely the latter.

Even though their “relationship” was created on the Jan. 16 episode to cover up for Blair, it’s clear Serena is hoping it will turn into more — but it doesn’t look like Dan is going to budge any time soon.

And since Dan is still looking out for Blair’s (Leighton Meester) best interest on the Jan. 23 episode, the question remains: Will S throw in the towel? Or will Dan fall back in love with her?

Personally, I’d love to see the two get back together!

But what I’m really looking forward to on tonight’s episode is Blair’s bachelorette party! It look like she ends up in jail at the end of the night (Uh oh!) so will Chuck (Ed Westwick) be the one to bail her out?

Oh geez! I’m officially tired of all the beating around the bush (and the fact that every character apparently feels the need to work their way around until they’ve slept with every other character on the show). No matter what they’re saying/who they’re doing in any given episode:
Serena loves Dan, Dan loves Serena. Always will
Blair loves Chuck, Chuck loves Blair. Always will
And I’m pretty confidant Nate loves Jenny, Jenny definitely loved Nate. Probably always will (though we weren’t really granted the opportunity to explore that combo as a full blown relationship, SO BRING JENNY (preferably sweet, innocent, pre racoon eyes) JENNY BACK GG PEOPLE!!!
Then I think (most of us) will be able to live happily ever after with the Gossip Girl world = )

I loved than from the start of season 1, but Even I wouldn’t have called and lied to be with him and almost beg for a dinner ! Obvious much??????!!

Also – Penn said he’s never enjoyed shooting scenes as much as he had with Leighton. But Penn is not Dan. Dan belongs with Serena, even if Penn and Blake Lively broke up. That shouldn’t change the Serena/Dan story. Maybe Penn and Dan are just as confused.

I think it will be tricky. Penn says that Blair is Dan’s soulmate and maybe that’s true. But its clear that Dan is Serena’s soulmate. She was never happier than when she was with Dan. As for Dair? Dan let Blair go because he knows how much she loves Chuck. Because Chuck will always love Blair and Blair will always love Chuck. I think Dan thinks he’s in love with Blair but that Serena was the one and he just can’t see it anymore.
