Etta James has died at the age of 73 due to complications from leukemia, CNN reports.
“This is a tremendous loss for the family, her friends and fans around the world. She was a true original who could sing it all — her music defied category,” her manager Lupe DeLeon said in a statement.
The “At Last” singer’s husband and children were with her in her final moments.
