Watch a preview clip from tonight’s all-new ‘Vampire Diaries!’

Bonnie (Kat Graham) tracks down her estranged mother on the Jan. 19 episode of The Vampire Diaries, but as always, even the most important issue at hand is still overshadowed by the ongoing saga of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev.) In this preview clip from tonight’s episode, Bonnie straight-up asks the couple what’s going on, to which Damon simply replies: “We kissed, now it’s weird.”

Like most viewers, I’d rather see Damon and Elena recreate their kiss than merely mention it briefly — but I’ll take what I can get for now. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and so too must we wait for “Delena” to become a full-on thing. Considering they’re now willing to talk about the kiss in front of their friends, though, I’m willing to bet it won’t be too much longer before PDA commences.
