Andy tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively the reason he shot down the chance to find love as ABC’s ‘The Bachelor.’
Before Andy Cohen became the head honcho of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise, ABC producers approached him to be The Bachelor just like Brad Womack and Ben Flajnik.
“I got a call once years ago before anybody knew who I was,” Andy told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Coriolanus premiere sponsored by Chopard and Dewar’s at the Paris Theater in NYC on Jan. 17. “My picture was in W magazine, and the producers of The Bachelor called. They were calling to see if I would ever be interested in going through the casting process.”
But Andy turned them down. “I said, ‘You are barking up the wrong tree,’” he shared. “‘Unless The Bachelor is going in a different direction …’”
To this day, Andy isn’t a fan of the series. “I don’t watch The Bachelor,” he admitted. “I never found a chance to watch it.”
