Getting soaked with a face full of makeup is never recommended — unless you come prepared!

Dianna Agron Tweeted a link to her Tumblr about being cold while filming a pool scene for Glee. If you’ve watched the January 17 episode or read the recap, you know that the cast was doing a synchronized swimming scene was part of an elaborate proposal. The strange thing about Dianna’s picture? She’s wearing gobs of makeup. Find out how it stayed in place, even in the pool!

Cosmetics brand Make Up For Ever Tweeted a little something of their own: “Calling all Gleeks. MUA Kelley Mitchell used our prods to get the cast ready for tonight’s big water ballet scene. Tune in to check it out.”

The Make Up For Ever brand is known for their incredible waterproof products. They were even used on models during Miami Fashion Week! Not planning a swim any time soon? Waterproof makeup is also great for an evening out because you won’t have to worry about your products melting and moving on your face and you can never go wrong with waterproof mascara. Who doesn’t have watery eyes in winter?
