In her first interview since giving birth to Blue Ivy, Beyonce revealed that Jay-Z will be a hands-on dad. She also defended their controversial hospital security!
In a revealing new interview with UK Star magazine, Beyonce opened up about how involved Jay-Z will be with little Blue Ivy. “He will change diapers, of course he will,” she gushed. “He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn’t love. Love is being there. Love is doing the little things for your child.”
And proud dad Jay-Z was in the room for Blue’s birth. “He would not have missed it for anything,” Beyonce said. “He is very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him.”
The 30-year-old can’t wait to see what a great father Jay-Z will be: “He is not only an inspirational artist, he is an inspirational husband. I know the next step on his journey is going to be being an inspirational father.”
The birth of Blue Ivy was a happy event, but tons of controversy about the tight security at Lenox Hill Hospital angered many worried parents who said they couldn’t see their sick babies in the ICU.
But Beyonce said it was absolutely necessary. “everybody who we wanted to see her, saw her,” she explained. “Security was very tight, but not just for the sake of it, it was for the security of our daughter.”
Although Blue has already received millions of dollars worth of gifts, Beyonce says she wants a “normal” life for the princess.
“At home, she’ll be part of a normal, loving family with a loving mom, a loving dad, a loving aunt and loving grandparents, just like any other kid,” Beyonce said.

UPDATE: Access Hollywood is reporting that Beyonce’s mother says the interview was, “Completely made up,” but UK Star magazine is sticking by their story that the interview did indeed happen.

DO YOU ALL HEAR YOURSELVES?? THIS IS A HIGH PROFILE COUPLE HAVING A BABY! I would have shut down the hospital too to proctect my baby!! She NEVER said that she didn’t allow ppl to see their baibes…that is media speculation AS ALWAYS!! She just said she wanted to protect her baby! She isn’t the oly celeb to do just the ONLY one that they made a big deal about!! SMH…ppl are so judgemental WITHOUT all the facts!!
