The actress proved age is just a number in a stunning, fitted, see through side-paneled black dress at the Golden Globes.

Film legend Jane Fonda, 72, walked onto the 2012 Golden Globes stage to present the award for best comedy in a daring gown and made it look elegant - and you can bet all eyes were on her!

On Jan. 15, while Hollywood’s newest starlets Mila Kunis, Lea Michele, and Dianna Agron debuted their youthful red carpet looks – Jane was certainly not to be outdone! At 74-years-old, the presenter caught our eye in this beautiful black Jack Guisso gown. Adorned in Neil Lane jewels, Jane definitely earned a place on the best dressed list while awarding The Artist for a job well done.

Want to know who else was wowed? George Clooney! According to LATimes.com, the Golden Globe leading man told reporters backstage, “Jane Fonda in that dress. My God. She looked great, didn’t she?” Uh oh, should new girlfriend Stacy Keibler be worried?

as for traiter…she was young and not thinking. We all do stupid things when young. Her ideas and thoughts were caught up in the sixties. I think she realized that as she got older and regrets it.

Jane looked beautiful from the front but when they got a shot of her wrinkling 74 year old back as the GG winner came up to accept the award – UGH!

She looks awesome! In fact, Madeleine Stowe looked amazing too and outshone many of the younger actresses present. Older women rocked the red carpet this year and long may it continue. I’m bored of Hollywood youths and the constant bombardment of reports about their sexual exploits, drug taking habits, prison stays yada, yada. Compare the photos of Jane Fonda and Madeleine Stowe to ones of Lindsey Lohan. She looks like a trailer park crack whore in comparison. Proof that youth really is wasted on the young.

Yes, Jane Fonda was the best dressed of the evening. When she came out… I was like “WOW”.

So is she 72 or 74? I guess a couple of years “doesn’t matter”, but would like to think that the “facts” still matter, even with online reporting. At my age (not saying), would be grateful to get a couple of years back, in just one sentence.

Either way, Jane is fabulous and–with or without a little help–her general health and confidence is something to work toward. It is possible without surgery…and if you don’t believe it, just take a quick glance at photos of your 50 year-old grandma holding you in the 1960′s… :-)
