How does one celebrate their 23rd birthday? If you’re Nina Dobrev, you start with a massive Twitter party! Nina’s fans rallied together Jan. 9 at midnight to get #HappyBirthdayNina trending — and as always, they succeeded. Not only did Nina take notice of her fans’ tenacity, but her Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder offered up his own congratulations, as well.
“#HappyBirthdayNina is trending right now:)” Ian tweeted. “Happy Birthday Nina!!!!!! 35,wow you look great!”
To which Nina replied, “Wow, it is!! So cool, thanks guys!”
Earlier that night, Nina had a special message for her more-than 1.5 million followers:
Taking a moment to reflect and appreciate what a great year it has been.. To be thankful I that even survived to another birthday. So many things, places and people I’ve met who have touched and changed my life this year… Looking forward to all those I will encounter tomorrow. So, this is my Good night to you all!! I have to get to bed early because i have to be up at 5a for work! Namaste!”
