Jay-Z and Beyonce totally took over Lenox Hill Hospital and kicked out other parents from the Upper East Side hospital from seeing their newborns in the intensive care unit! How RUDE!
Will Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s daughter Blue Ivy Carter be as much of a diva as her super-star parents? The couple installed bulletproof glass, burly bodyguards and kept other anxious parents out of the neonatal intensive-care unit, according to the NY Post! “They just used the hospital like it was their own and nobody else mattered,” complained Neil Coulon, a new dad who couldn’t check on his premature, newborn twins because he was kept from the neonatal ICU.
Other parents complained that they were put on “lockdown” so the diva and her party could have the floor to themselves.
“They locked us into the NICU and would say, ‘You can’t come out to the hallway for the next 20 minutes.’” Neil added. “When I was finally able to go back out, I went to the waiting room and they’d ushered my family downstairs! These are parents who are going through very stressful times. To have that circus roll into town, having to deal with all this drama because someone is a superstar, isn’t fair.”
The couple have completely taken over the hospital for the birth and recovery! There have been two months worth of expensive renovations to her fourth-floor recovery suite — including a bulletproof door and darkened windows.
“Her room is bulletproof,” a staffer revealed. “It’s custom-made. They came in and reconstructed it. It’s completely different.”
Beyonce checked in Jan. 6 to the hospital under the name Ingrid Jackson and settled into her sixth-floor delivery suite. The singer had her own security in addition to the hospital security.
Beyonce, 30, and Jay-Z (Shawn Carter), 42, welcomed little Blue Ivy, who was delivered naturally, on Jan. 7. Her namecomes from her dad’s “Blueprint” album and her mom’s favorite number — 4, which is represented by the Roman numeral IV (a.k.a “Ivy”).
On Jan. 8, the new diva baby moved down to the ultra-luxe fourth-floor recovery suite, and her proud parents keep showing her off to friends. Some reports say that Jay-Z spent nearly $1.3 million for “an entire floor,” but a spokeswoman from Lenox Hill claimed that number is exaggerated.
The mega demands of the couple haven’t made them many friends with their fellow new parents. “People are really upset and complaining,” a hospital worker noted.
Do YOU think the couple acted like divas, HollywoodLifers?

If it happen this way it was just plan crazy. Other parents
felt there baby was just as special. With all that changing of the hospital for there little baby. She was no more special than any of the other babies. They should be ashamed of them selfs. Why didn’t they have the baby at home. Fixed up the house like they did the hospital. Sounds a little crazy. No respect for other people. We better wake up and realize everyone is special. Everyone may not have the bucks, but they are human.
