Katy Perry and Russell Brand‘s divorce has made big headlines, but Katy is reaching out to her fans for the first time since the split to tell them what’s REALLY going on!

Katy, 27, took to Twitter on Jan. 7 and wrote to fans in two tweets, saying, “I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again. Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, “close sources” or my family.”
