Our sister site Deadline.com has just broken the news that Warner Bros might be putting ‘Akira’ on the back burner because they are making changes to the script — should Kristen take a break anyway?
This might be a blessing in disguise for Kristen Stewart. A new report on Deadline.com says although Akira was slated to begin filming March 5, they still haven’t picked the lead role of Tetsuo in the remake of the live-action animated flick. This is the only film Kristen was expected to start working on, which means she’s free as a bird! Is this a good thing for the actress?
The decision to not go forward with the film doesn’t have much to do with the budget — it’s because they wanted to make changes to the script according to the report.
We’ve been telling Kristen to take a trip with her boyfriend Robert Pattinson and now it looks like they could take more than one! They’re both in LA after spending New Year’s Eve together and we hope they both wait a while before signing onto new projects!
